  • Performing distribution/transmission import/export analyses (aka VAR/Watt injection studies), generator (rotating machinery or static inverters) capability studies, model quality tests/ benchmarking, and site selection support.
  • Frequency domain (i.e. ETAP) and time domain (i.e. EMTP/PSCAD) transient/steady-state study and analysis to perform load flow, short circuit, cable ampacity, TRV, RRRV, TOV, insulation coordination, harmonics, flicker, and arc flash studies.
  • Assist in the submission of generation and load interconnection applications to ISOs (i.e., ERCOT).
  • Knowledge of grounding study (Substation, distribution) is considered as an asset.
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI study is considered an asset.
  • Making sure to complete assigned projects on time while adhering to project quality and budget objectives.
  • Identify training needs and present them to the supervisor.
