Responsibilities
Join us in leading the change!
Direct and manage a team of electrical engineers to perform specific power system analyses including steady state (generation deliverability), dynamics, short circuit, EMT studies using various power system software.
How you can make an impact:
- Oversee the timely completion of projects while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
- Interact with Clients to seek input and address their needs and concerns with respect to the project(s) study scope of work.
- Train, develop and grow the capabilities of engineers within the team and the larger organization.
- Perform advanced and specialized studies of the power grid utilizing industry standard analysis platforms such as PSS/e, PLSF, PowerWorld, TARA, ASPEN, CAPE, and PSCAD (preferred).
- Develop and review transmission study methodologies and processes and lead process improvement efforts identifying opportunities to enhance organizational efficiencies focused on maximizing team bandwidth while ensuring quality and timeliness of client deliverables.
- Support business development activities including development of RFP responses & scope of work statements for clients, outlining EPE deliverables and projected completion dates.
Qualifications
Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering with a focus on Power Systems (advanced degree preferred)
- 5+ years in the electric energy industry, with experience in power system studies, design studies, and/or interconnection process
- Experience with PowerWorld, PSLF, PSS/E, and/or PSLF
- Experience with WECC, CAISO or Northwest PowerPool a plus

Location: This position is open to Remote US or Canada
Travel: Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less)
